There are minimum retention periods, during which we have a legal obligation to retain your records. However, we reserve the right to retain data for longer where we believe it is in our legitimate interests to do so.
You have the right to request deletion of your personal data. We will comply with this request, subject to the

The personal data of those who complete our electronic mortgage factfind is stored outside of the European Economic Area (EEA), in the United States (US). The reason for this is that we feel the company in question (Cognito Forms) offer the most attractive proposition and will provide the greatest benefit to our clients. Proper due diligence on them has been conducted and we are satisfied that they have taken all reasonable steps to protect your personal data.
You will be asked to give your Explicit Consent before completing the factfind separately. You will not be able to complete the form if you do not give your consent. If you do not wish to complete an electronic factfind please ask your adviser for a paper-based version.
You have legal rights under data protection regulation in relation to your personal data. These are set out under the below headings:
We will not ask for a fee in connection with any request you make in connection with these rights, unless we think your request is unfounded, repetitive, or excessive. Where a fee is necessary, we will inform you before proceeding with your request.
Any search we undertake to satisfy your request will be reasonable & proportionate and not exhaustive.
We aim to respond to all valid requests within one month of receiving your request or when we receive any requested identification/verification information or fees (if allowed for excessive requests) from you.
It may however take us longer if the request is particularly complicated or you have made several requests. We will always let you know if we think a response will take longer than one month.
We may not always be able to fully address your request, for example if it would impact the duty of confidentiality we owe to others, or if we are otherwise legally entitled to deal with the request in a different way.
